Almost nothing is known about the background of Quincy McIver before he bacame Cottonmouth except that he got involved in crime early on. He grew up in the Southern United States and was invited to join Sidewinder's Serpent Society Cottonmouth has faced Captain America in battle on several occasions. Cottonmouth uses his bionically enhanced jaws to inflict damage on his enemies.
