Some of my favorite kicks right now. PF Flyers were originated in 1933. In the 60's they were one of the biggest shoe companies. You would easily catch me rockin these in the city.

Women and me
I find it hard to be
bounded by a relationship
obligations make me stray
though loneliness is often the reason for my dismay
I cant seem to settle

every option is only beautiful before i gain admiration
its like my mission is to conquer women mentally and physically
But for what?
i never intend to keep them for long
as i grow older i grow restless

this game of hide n seek with a four letter word has aged over time

So many people slept on this man its ridiculous. Im glad I woke up out of my slumber a little earlier than many. The kid has talent to spare. His lyrical verses provide for a more compelling experience. The vinacular is proper with good a sense of poverty or struggle in his past. I gotta admit he easily beat my expectations and I'm glad to say so. Lets hope he sticks to the good side of the spectrum and doesn't fall into the trend of rapping about fast money, hoes and material things.

Genre: Electrofunk

Chromeo isn't exactly new, but I cant stop listening to them. They have a real old school feel to them. With Dave One(David Macklovitch) on the electronics and Pee Thug(Patrick Gemayel) on the vocals it's hard to deny the talent at hand. The duo originating in Montreal, Quebec, and Canada has been around since 2002 and are finally gaining the notoriety they have earned.

Black Hero Of The Month

If you are not familiar with the face this is George Washington Carver. He was an American scientist, botanist, educator, and inventor. His birthdate is unknown, but he was conceived sometime before slavery was abolished. His fame is derived from his advancements in the uses of the peanut. He was able to create 105 recopies using the peanut along with 100 products that served mostly for household uses. Some of the things he created are cosmetics, dyes, paints, plastics, gasoline, and nitroglycerin. His concerns did not only include science he was also a humanitarian. In fact his selfless ways are what motivated him to create alternative uses for peanuts. Some notable actions he took outside of the lab are improvement of racial relations, mentoring children, poetry, painting, and religion. He was able to reject the many deficiencies in his situation and accomplish tasks for the betterment of the people. This man was able to do things that were far from expected, especially out of a man of his stature and skin color. If there is ever a struggle that requires perseverance just think of George Washington Carver and how he was able to overcome.

NTP!

What is NTP?
The acronym will never be revealed, but the meaning is defined my three black males on a journey to success. We decided to set ourselves apart from others with the name because our struggles and goals reside in a similar place.

5 main goals exist among this distinguished group of gentlemen.
-Never be subject to the stereo typical beliefs about a black male.
-Never let another make you feel inadequate.
-Always keep an open mind(knowledge is power)
-Don't allow these cellophane folk cloud your judgement.
-In the end its all about becoming something that our community and children can look up to.

The Urban Knights.

Everywhere I go people are asking me who I play for. When I inform them that I play at the Academy of Art University they  seem to be stunned. It's a new sports program and we finished our first inaugural season not too long ago. It was not successful in terms of win to loss ratio, but who expects a new program to prosper on an instance? The answer is very few people. The team was composed of 8 freshman and 2  sophomores. Considering the level of experience the 6-20 season isn't as bad as it would initially seem. When the entire team was healthy it wasn't difficult for the Urban Knights to contend. The loss of 2 key players put a damper on their road to success. Going into the summer and on to next season in the fall the Urban Knights will have a year of experience under the belt and some new recruits to shake things up for the betterment of the program. With these advancements in personnel and knowledge they should be far more prosperous in their efforts toward becoming a top contender in the Pac west conference.
